Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dong Sandoval!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Josh Singh!
The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Tiny Johnson and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Singh lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Sandoval circles away quickly and effectively.

Sandoval clinches up with Singh and pushes him back against the cage.

Singh escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Sandoval rushes Singh and presses him up against the cage.
Sandoval goes for a takedown in the clinch but Singh prevents it.
Singh wants to break free but Sandoval has control.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Singh scores with a shoulder strike.
Singh tries to circle away but Sandoval has him pinned against the cage.
Sandoval could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Singh working hard to break the clinch.

Singh wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Singh wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Sandoval has him pressed against the cage.
Singh wants to get back to striking at distance but Sandoval won't allow it.
Singh is looking to break free of the clinch but Sandoval has double underhooks.
Singh tries to break free but Sandoval pushes him back against the cage.
Sandoval has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Singh after a bit of a struggle.
Sandoval keeps control of Singh as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Sandoval prevents Singh from breaking the clinch.
Singh can't break the clinch.
Singh is looking to break free of the clinch but Sandoval has double underhooks.
A frustrated look appears on Singh's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Singh has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.

Sandoval tightens his grip and picks Singh up, before dumping him to the ground. Singh manages to land in guard.
Sandoval is looking to work some ground and pound but Singh has wrist control.
Singh is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Singh wants to stand but Sandoval is controlling the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Sandoval throws a big right hand that misses.
Sandoval working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Singh is trying to control the position but Sandoval postures up.
Sandoval working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Singh's head.
Sandoval landing some decent shots from guard.
Sandoval is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
Sandoval throws a big elbow that misses.
Sandoval postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Sandoval working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Singh wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Sandoval manages to pass to side control.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Sandoval is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Sandoval looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Singh with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Sandoval has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Sandoval looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Sandoval is working for a submission of some sort.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Dong Sandoval dominated that round.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Singh cracks Sandoval with a good jab.
Josh Singh seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Singh connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Sandoval momentarily.
Sandoval gets caught by a brutal right hook which buckles his knees! Sandoval tries to backpedal with his spaghettilegs but Singh is headhunting and goes for the kill. A jab and a right hook connect and Sandoval buckles badly as his eyes roll back. The referee steps in and saves Sandoval!! Sandoval is complaining but he was clearly out on his feet. Singh throws his mouthpiece into the crowd. Mmmm spit-tastic.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:27 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Josh Singh!
