The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Barrie tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Prescott was well out of range. Poor timing from Barrie.
Barrie avoids the head kick by Prescott.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Prescott.
Prescott definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Prescott throws a sloppy head kick and Barrie moves out of range easily.
A swing and a miss from Barrie.
Barrie lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Prescott throws a head kick that half lands.

Prescott gets tackled into the cage by Barrie. Barrie maintains the clinch.
Prescott misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Barrie throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Prescott blocks it with crossed arms.
Prescott has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Barrie after a bit of a struggle.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Prescott has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Barrie avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Prescott drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Barrie gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Prescott's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Barrie slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.

Prescott lands a nice hook to Barrie's body. Barrie takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Prescott shoots in looking for a takedown. Barrie tries to sprawl out of it but Prescott keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Barrie manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Prescott thows a body kick. Barrie tries to catch it but that hurt him.

Prescott shoots for a double leg takedown but Barrie sprawls well. He's pushed Prescott's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Barrie tests Prescott's chin there with a solid looking shot.

It looks like John Prescott has been cut.
Barrie fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.

Barrie avoids a kick to the body.
Barrie looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Barrie throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

Barrie lands with a hook. Prescott tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.

Barrie gets caught flat footed, as Prescott shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

Barrie scrambles and gets back to his feet.
Prescott tries a head kick but it misses.
Barrie connects with a body shot that sends Prescott's belly button to the back.

Barrie looks to land a left hand but Prescott moved out of range nicely.
Barrie misses with a series of wild punches.

Prescott goes for a high kick. It partially lands.

Barrie wants to counter the offense by Prescott and move into the clinch position.
Prescott throws a series of punches but Barrie avoids them all with ease.
Barrie throws out a counter right but Prescott avoids it with no problem.
Barrie lands with a good body shot.
Prescott throws a body punch but Barrie moves out of range.
Barrie throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Prescott stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Chris Barrie is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Barrie scores with a body shot.
Barrie throws the left hand but Prescott avoids the punch easily.
Barrie ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Prescott throws a head kick that misses
and Barrie counters with a right hand to the body.
Prescott shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Barrie counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Barrie works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Prescott moves away from the strike by Barrie.
Prescott avoids the body shot from Barrie.
Prescott walks into a straight right hand from Barrie.

Barrie clinches up with Prescott and pushes him back against the cage.
Barrie is pushing Prescott up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.

Prescott pulls guard effortlessly.
Barrie in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.

Prescott is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but Barrie frees his head nicely. Oh but Prescott has switched to an armbar! Barrie is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
