Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Taite Abrams (ranked 2874 p4p, 373 weight class) and Rudi Dassler (ranked 3758 p4p, 453 weight class). Taite Abrams has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
23 - 16 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Taite Abrams!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
15 - 16 - 0, fighting out of London, Rudi Dassler!
The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Cecil Peabody and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Abrams swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Dassler connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Abrams throws a lazy head kick
and Dassler counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Abrams is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Dassler stands up over Abrams, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Dassler throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Abrams works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Dassler stands and throws Abrams's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Dassler is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Abrams is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Dassler is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Abrams knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Dassler tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Dassler has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Abrams throws a head kick that misses.
Dassler needs to keep his hands up - Abrams had a free shot at his head there.
Dassler has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Dassler shoots for a takedown but Abrams saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Abrams scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
Dassler closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Abrams gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Dassler to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Dassler thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Dassler tries to move into full mount but can't pass Abrams's legs.
Abrams tries to buck Dassler off but Dassler is having none of it.

Abrams tries to bench press Dassler off him but Dassler keeps the position.
Dassler tries to score with some ground and pound. Abrams controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.
Abrams is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Dassler's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Dassler is thwarting Abrams's attempts to control the position.

Dassler is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Abrams is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
