Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Dougie Logan (ranked 1747 p4p, 190 weight class) and Jason Bozzi (ranked 2713 p4p, 266 weight class). Jason Bozzi has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Bozzi shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Logan's guard.
Logan wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Logan here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man.
Bozzi is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Logan lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Dougie Logan.
I think Logan has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
