Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Leka Vasara (ranked 3399 p4p, 284 weight class) and Ernie Tertelgte (ranked 2166 p4p, 212 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vasara slips under a jab.
Vasara shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Tertelgte pinned against the cage. Tertelgte gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Tertelgte looks like he wants to counter punch here.
Tertelgte leaves Vasara with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Vasara throws a low kick but it's checked well by Tertelgte.

Vasara drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Tertelgte dives on top into guard.

Vasara seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
Vasara darts in looking for a takedown but Tertelgte gets double underhooks and turns Vasara into the cage.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Tertelgte uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Vasara.
Vasara closes this distance looking for a takedown but Tertelgte circles away.

Tertelgte looks to land a right hand but Vasara moved out of range.
Vasara takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.

Vasara is rocked!
Vasara walks straight into a right hand from Tertelgte - that's dropped him! Tertelgte jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Vasara from any more punishment! Vasara complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.
