Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Micky Scouser (ranked 1350 p4p, 153 weight class) and Chris Redfield (ranked 1394 p4p, 159 weight class). Redfield comes into a darkened arena with his song building. False Alarm kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 24 - 15 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Micky Scouser!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 41 - 26 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Chris Redfield!
The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Ian Loll and William Peck.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Scouser lands a nice hook to Redfield's body. Redfield takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Scouser misses with a body shot.
Redfield avoids the body shot from Scouser.
Scouser takes a swing at Redfield's ribcage but misses.
Scouser lands a glancing blow to the side of Redfield's head.
Scouser misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Redfield.
Redfield lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.

letting Redfield counter with a right hand.
Redfield looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

Redfield takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.

No joy there for Redfield, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Redfield stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
A looping hook to the body misses from Scouser. Redfield does a little dance to reset his feet.

Redfield uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Scouser.

Scouser tries to score with some ground and pound. Redfield controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.

A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.
Redfield parries the strikes from Scouser easily there. Scouser is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Redfield to escape.
Redfield is working to avoid the ground and pound but Scouser connects with a decent elbow.
Redfield prevents Scouser from moving into mount.
Scouser creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.
The strikes coming from Scouser are missing the target in this wave of attacks.
Redfield is pushing Scouser's head away, looking to escape. Scouser manages to hold on to the position though.
Redfield tries to buck Scouser off but Scouser is having none of it.

Scouser cracks Redfield with an elbow. That is naaassty.
Redfield tries to control but Scouser manages to take his back.
So, who will make the next big move? In this position it could be crucial.
Scouser has the hooks in. Redfield is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted.
Scouser biding his time, controlling Redfield.
Redfield is trying to get back to his feet but Scouser has full control of the position and if anything, Redfield has just worked his way into a worse spot.
Will Scouser go for the finish here or will he try and keep control of the position?
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

As Scouser backs off Redfield throws a huge counter combo but Scouser manages to avoid it all.

Scouser seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
Redfield gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Scouser is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Redfield can do to turn this around?

It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Scouser here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man.

It looks like Micky Scouser has been cut.
Redfield wants to land a leg kick but Scouser is out of range.
Redfield takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Redfield cracks Scouser with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Scouser pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Scouser works Redfield's body with a nice hook.
Scouser dives in and grabs Redfield's left leg, looking for a takedown. Redfield pushes down on Scouser's head and hops out.

Redfield takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Scouser throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Redfield takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?

Scouser connects with a leg kick. Redfield looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Horrible takedown attempt by Scouser or perhaps it was just good defense by Redfield, which made it look bad.

Scouser lands a big uppercut and Redfield crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Redfield looks OK. Scouser waves Redfield back to his feet!


It looks like Chris Redfield has been cut.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Scouser lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Scouser. Redfield shrugs it off though.

Ohhhhh! A huge head kick from Scouser! Redfield is out on his feet! Scouser rushes in and throws more strikes. The ref is looking closely - Redfield is covering up but the punishment is just too much and the ref steps in to stop the fight! Redfield is staring into space, just thankful that the beatdown has ended. Brutal finish.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:06 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Micky Scouser!
Our winner, Micky Scouser, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
The defeated Chris Redfield had this to say: 'The End is Near. No Scratch that, I think it's here.'.
