Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Bill Como (ranked 3644 p4p, 183 weight class) and Rex Ruger (ranked 3964 p4p, 196 weight class). The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Como takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
As Ruger tries to get set, Como tries to push him back and clinch up but Ruger manages to avoid the attempt.
Ruger closes this distance looking for a takedown but Como circles away.
Good leg kick by Como there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

Como has been working on his boxing with his coaches at All Star Performance Institute in the buildup to the fight.
Ruger lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Como circles away quickly and effectively.

As Ruger tries to get set, Como tries to push him back and clinch up but Ruger manages to avoid the attempt.

Ruger dives in and grabs Como's left leg, looking for a takedown. Como pushes down on Ruger's head and hops out.

We've been informed that Ruger has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.
