Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Iggy Steve (ranked 9100 p4p, 664 weight class) and Bruno Italo (ranked 20762 p4p, 672 weight class). Steve comes to the cage accompanied by The Vamps-Wake Up. Iggy Steve had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Bruno Italo!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Steve shoots in for a takedown and gets it.

Steve escapes and gets back to his feet.

Steve throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Italo is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.
Steve fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

Steve shoots in looking for a takedown but Italo manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Steve's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Italo tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.

Steve moves into the clinch.
Italo is trying to drag Steve to the mat but Steve just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Steve breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Steve dives in and grabs Italo's left leg, looking for a takedown. Italo pushes down on Steve's head and hops out.

Steve manages to break the clinch.

The fight moves into the clinch position.

Steve gets control of Italo's arms and successfully pulls guard. Steve will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

Italo thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Italo has gone for a leg lock! Steve slips out almost immediately though and dives into Italo's guard.

This has been an exciting period of action!
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Italo has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Steve is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Italo.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Steve looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Italo is fending him off so far but Steve persists. Nope, Italo circles away and we're back to standing.

Steve creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses.

Steve pulls guard.

Italo drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Italo jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Italo slips nicely into half guard.

Italo wants to work for an arm triangle but Steve is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Steve is staying active underneath Italo, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Italo is trying for a kimura here. Steve looks like he's in a lot of pain... and he's tapping out! Italo wins by kimura!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:55 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Bruno Italo!
Bruno Italo decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
