Anderson's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Everyday Bro-Team 10. Hales is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: The Way I Am. Alex Hales has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hales doesn't succeed with the takedown

and Anderson holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Hales goes for a takedown attempt but Anderson pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Anderson throws a combination. Hales tries to block but a couple of punches get through.

It looks like Alex Hales has been cut.
Anderson thuds his shin into the meat of Hales's side.
Carlos Anderson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Hales tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Anderson defends well and Hales ends up having to push Anderson into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Anderson wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch.
Carlos Anderson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Alex Hales.
Hales changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Anderson tries to avoid it but Hales manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Anderson to the ground. Anderson escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Anderson is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Hales.
Anderson throws a front kick that sends Hales stumbling back into the cage.
Anderson cracks Hales with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Hales avoids the head kick by Anderson.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Hales shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Anderson sprawls well. Anderson wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Hales gets slowly back to his feet.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Hales is defended easily by Anderson.

Anderson throws a head kick that lands with a deafening thwack! The crowd roars as Hales stumbles backwards and falls to the mat. Anderson follows into mount!

Anderson connects with a bit shot that sees Hales covering up! More strikes from Anderson and the referee jumps in to stop the fight! Anderson is our winner by TKO!
