Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Toney Brewer (ranked 8364 p4p, 0 weight class) and Barkus Jeshua (ranked 6057 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Toney Brewer!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Barkus Jeshua!
The judges for this bout are Eliza Hachem, Winston Howard and Ben Hemmingworth.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jeshua shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Jeshua misses with a takedown attempt - Brewer sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Brewer throws a counter high kick but Jeshua was just alert enough to avoid it.
Toney Brewer has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Barkus Jeshua.
Jeshua tries to clinch up but Brewer circles away and keeps his distance.

Brewer feints and as Jeshua raises his hands in defense, Brewer changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Jeshua can do anything to dispel that myth.

Brewer drops back looking for a leg! Jeshua is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Jeshua manages to kick Brewer off! Brewer jumps back into Jeshua's guard.

Brewer seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Jeshua does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Brewer has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Well, if Brewer is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

Jeshua stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Jeshua wants it to stay on the feet.

That was a close second round but I would say that Toney Brewer will probably get the nod.

Brewer seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Jeshua for as long as he can get away with.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Brewer, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
