Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Katsuya Yasumi (ranked 1472 p4p, 43 weight class) and Shane Ripgut (ranked 5863 p4p, 116 weight class). Yasumi comes to the ring accompanied by Lunchmoney Lewis-Real Thing. Ripgut has chosen Eminence front-the who as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the super heavyweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 19 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Katsuya Yasumi!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 28 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Shane Ripgut!
The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Yukihiro Shimada and Shigeki Fujiwara.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Both fighters are only really looking to counter, so after a good 30 seconds of circling eachother endlessly, the referee has stepped in and told them both to be more aggressive.

Yasumi shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Ripgut's guard.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Ripgut refuses to tap and goes to sleep, forcing the referee to intervene. A little trickle of blood came out of Ripgut's nose as his head slumped to the floor. That is naaaasty!
