Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Stu Pidaso (ranked 7276 p4p, 0 weight class) and Roe Jogan (ranked 8342 p4p, 0 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
4 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Stu Pidaso !
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
3 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Roe Jogan!
The judges for this bout are Paul Gruel, Jeff Smith and Roger Salmon.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jogan changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Jogan comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Jogan throws a low kick but Pidaso moves out of range easily.
Jogan works over Pidaso 's head and body with a nice combination.
Jogan cracks a nice hook into Pidaso 's ribs.
Jogan missing with a left hand there. Pidaso was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Pidaso blocks a leg kick.
Jogan throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

and Pidaso counters with a shoot takedown. Jogan fights it but they end up in guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Pidaso won't allow Jogan to sweep him here.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Jogan wants to reverse the position here. Pidaso has hold of a leg though and he's dropped back looking for a kneebar! The fighters roll across the mat but Jogan is forced to tap! Jogan looks devastated but at least his leg points in the right direction.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:22 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kneebar). Stu Pidaso !
Stu Pidaso was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
