Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Lars Borgvelt (ranked 3148 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tommy DeVito (ranked 981 p4p, 0 weight class). Borgvelt comes to the cage accompanied by Techno Viking. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
DeVito tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Borgvelt manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that DeVito has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

DeVito is completely out with his eyes open, only supported by the cage! Save him ref! Eventually the ref decides to do his job and jumps in - Borgvelt screams abuse at the incompetent official before going over to celebrate with his corner. Brutal stuff!
