PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Ickey Woods (ranked 3600 p4p, 364 weight class) and Tamagoshi Yoshi (ranked 3638 p4p, 372 weight class). Woods comes to the cage accompanied by System of a Down- Chop Suey. Yoshi has chosen Bushido as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Woods doesn't manage to clinch there - Yoshi circles away.
Yoshi works Woods's body with a nice hook.

Woods is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Yoshi to keep the fight standing.
Yoshi tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Woods's elbow.
Yoshi goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Woods jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Yoshi walks away with a smile on his face. Woods gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Yoshi cracks Woods with a right hand to the side of the head.
Yoshi ducks down and throws a hook to the body.

Woods fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Yoshi manages to avoid it.
Yoshi lands a nice hook to Woods's body. Woods takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Yoshi lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.
Yoshi connects with a single shot there.
Tamagoshi Yoshi is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Woods tries to close the distance and clinch but Yoshi swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Woods gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Yoshi ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Woods moves away.
Yoshi has been working his punching technique in the buildup to the fight and it appears to be paying off.
Yoshi throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Yoshi lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.

Woods has closed the distance and engaged Yoshi in a clinch.
Yoshi digs a right hand underneath Woods's ribcage. Woods let out a lung full of air as it connected.
Woods tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Yoshi just stands there and leans against the cage.

Woods moves out of range of the body kick from Yoshi.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Woods tries to clinch up but Yoshi circles away and keeps his distance.
Yoshi lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Yoshi buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Yoshi fails to land with a series of punches.
Yoshi dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Yoshi is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Woods had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.

Woods closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Yoshi lands a nice looking body shot.
Yoshi fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Woods has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Woods with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Yoshi to score with a decent uppercut.
A looping hook to the body misses from Yoshi. Woods does a little dance to reset his feet.
Woods uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Yoshi.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!
