Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Paddy Bateman (ranked 2068 p4p, 277 weight class) and John Dillinger (ranked 1884 p4p, 251 weight class). Dillinger has chosen Listen!! as his entrance music. Paddy Bateman has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dillinger rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Bateman moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

That was a close round but I would say that Paddy Bateman will probably get the nod.

Dillinger throws a solid leg kick but Bateman takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Dillinger.

Bateman lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

No joy there for Dillinger, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Dillinger walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Bateman throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Dillinger's waist but Dillinger gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Bateman off to one side.

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Dillinger lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Bateman has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Bateman and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
