The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A combination from Mendes does no damage.
Oliver fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Oliver closes the distance and lands a one-two.

It looks like Gilmar Mendes has been cut.
Oliver misses with a double jab.
Oliver lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Mendes circles away quickly and effectively.
Mendes is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own.

Oliver drops Mendes with a right and a left! Oliver comes rushing in but Mendes regains his composure and manages to keep Oliver in guard.

Mendes is rocked!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Mendes is working an open guard so Oliver takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

and Mendes counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Oliver is lucky that one didn't land flush.
Oliver looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

and Oliver counters with a monster hook and another for good measure! Mendes falls to the ground, out cold! Stick some heavy metal music over the top of that clip and it's one for the highlight makers!
