Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mu Spinelli (ranked 5998 p4p, 0 weight class) and Anderi Ferlakov (ranked 24381 p4p, 729 weight class). Mu Spinelli has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Anderi Ferlakov!
The judges for this bout are Leandro Rodrigues, Daniel Cesar and Alexandre Firmino.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Ferlakov is defended easily by Spinelli.
Ferlakov tries to clinch up but Spinelli circles away and keeps his distance.
Spinelli appears to be looking for a counter takedown.

Ferlakov looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Spinelli!
Spinelli is not content to let Ferlakov control the position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Ferlakov shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Spinelli sprawls well. Spinelli wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Ferlakov gets slowly back to his feet.

Ferlakov decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Spinelli is staying active underneath Ferlakov, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Ferlakov seems to be working for a kimura but Spinelli defends the submission attempt.

Ferlakov is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Spinelli is just riding it out for now. Ferlakov eventually gives up the hold.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Ferlakov closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Anderi Ferlakov showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Spinelli is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Ferlakov is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Ferlakov has escaped and now he's on top!

Spinelli will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

Ferlakov forces Spinelli back against the cage and clinches.
