Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Olen Sargent (ranked 8928 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jinan Afzal (ranked 5752 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Jinan Afzal was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Afzal looking for a takedown here - he's got it.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Afzal stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Sargent swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Afzal throws an elbow that misses. Sargent uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Afzal's guard. Nice move by Sargent!

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Sargent wants to stand but Afzal has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

Afzal is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

A big strike lands for Afzal! That's really hurt Sargent and he's turned his back - Afzal keeps firing away and the ref dives in to stop the fight! Afzal jumps to his feet to celebrate the victory!
