Livre throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Carvalho stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Yggdrasil Livre is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

and Carvalho takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Carvalho rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Livre counters with a nice body shot.
Carvalho has a pretty nasty looking mouse under his right eye.

Carvalho shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Livre's guard.
In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Carvalho working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though.

Carvalho drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Livre manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Carvalho has Livre in his guard.

Carvalho is trying to control the position but Livre postures up.

Carvalho has his foot on Livre's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Livre works his way back into a safe position though.

Livre is posturing up here but Carvalho has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! Livre tries to roll out but it's too tight and Livre has to tap! Slick submission there by Carvalho!
