Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Dmitry Putin (ranked 4587 p4p, 361 weight class) and Rock Chuck (ranked 3691 p4p, 309 weight class). Both fighters really staring each other down here, as Rock Chuck enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
3 - 6 - 1, fighting out of Tokyo, Dmitry Putin!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
5 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Rock Chuck!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Kenichi Hosakawa and Sosuke Kotani.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chuck dives in and grabs Putin's left leg, looking for a takedown. Putin pushes down on Chuck's head and hops out.
Putin fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Chuck.
Chuck pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Putin misses with the combination.
Putin lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Chuck circles away quickly and effectively.
Chuck tries to score a power double leg takedown but Putin sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Chuck somewhat.
Chuck tries to close the distance and clinch up but Putin swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Putin throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Putin misses with a double jab
and Chuck decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Putin's guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Putin wants to get back to his feet but Chuck is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Chuck is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Putin can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Chuck shoots in but Putin avoids the takedown attempt easily.
As Chuck tries to get set, Putin tries to push him back and clinch up but Chuck manages to avoid the attempt.
A punch lands to the side of Chuck 's head but he takes it in his stride.

Putin fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Chuck has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Nice sprawl there from Putin as Chuck shoots in.
Putin tries to bum rush Chuck with a series of wild strikes but Chuck uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Some bone on bone action there as Chuck checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.

Chuck fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Putin to the ground. Chuck is now in Putin's guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Dmitry Putin will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Putin lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Putin throws a right and a left that Chuck avoids nicely.
Chuck shoots for a takedown but Putin saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Putin, right into the meat.
Chuck goes for a double leg but Putin avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Putin continues to drive forward.

Putin throws a series of punches but Chuck moves out of range.

Chuck wants to control the pace but Putin is squirming around nicely.

A close second round but Rock Chuck will probably get the nod - 10:9.

Chuck tries to get the hooks in deep but Putin pushed the leg off.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Putin won't enjoy being in this position. Chuck looking for the choke. Oh... he's slipped the arm under the neck - Putin is tapping - it's over boys! Chuck picks up the submission victory!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:55 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Rock Chuck!
Rock Chuck was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
