Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Guntank Hatfield (ranked 1382 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sasha Downdin (ranked 548 p4p, 0 weight class). Hatfield comes to the cage accompanied by DMX-X Gon Give it to Ya. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Downdin uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Hatfield.
Downdin cracks Hatfield with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.

It looks like Guntank Hatfield has been cut.
We've been told by Hatfield's head coaches at Gizmo's Gym that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Downdin lands a jab.
Downdin throws a sloppy head kick

and Hatfield holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Hatfield digs a right hand underneath Downdin's ribcage. Downdin let out a lung full of air as it connected.

Downdin's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
Downdin wants to break the clinch but can't.
Downdin has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
A right hook to the body lands for Hatfield.

Downdin jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Hatfield walks away with a smile on his face. Downdin gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Downdin looks to land a left hand but Hatfield moved out of range nicely.
Hatfield appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body.
Hatfield ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Hatfield dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Downdin takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Downdin throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

Hatfield moves into the clinch successfully.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Hatfield creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
Hatfield digs a right hand into Downdin's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Downdin's gas tank.

Hatfield keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Downdin's efforts to push away.

Hatfield dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Downdin. That did some damage!
Hatfield is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Downdin.

Hatfield feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Downdins jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Downdin is trying to force a seperation but Hatfield has the dominant position.
A frustrated look appears on Downdin's face as he tries to break the clinch.
The pace really dropping off here, momentarily.
Hatfield lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage.

It looks like Sasha Downdin has been cut.
Hatfield lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Downdin backwards.

Hatfield creates a bit of space for himself and rocks Downdin with a big uppercut! Downdin tries to clinch up but Hatfield pushes him back against the cage and lands another monster strike that crumples Downdin to the mat! Downdin covers up and Hatfield unloads with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:35 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Guntank Hatfield!
Guntank Hatfield really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that Transform Supplements logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.
