And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Arther Walsh!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Shigeki Sano and Taro Takaoka.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Walsh moves into range and clinches up with Fuentes.
Walsh can't break the clinch.
Walsh can't get the takedown.
Walsh tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Fuentes smiles and moves away.
Walsh throws the kick towards the body but Fuentes avoids it.
Walsh shoots and misses

and Fuentes counters with a takedown into side control.
Walsh tries to wriggle free to get back to his feet but he's given up his back! Oops.
Kent Fuentes has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Arther Walsh.
Fuentes tries to get the hooks in deep but Walsh pushed the leg off.

I really don't envy Walsh right now.

Even with his hooks in, Fuentes manages to miss with strikes from the back.
Fuentes is hanging on to Walsh's back as he tries to escape.
Walsh wants to get back to his feet.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Walsh prevents Fuentes from getting a body triangle.
Walsh tries to escape but Fuentes has the hooks in and won't let him break free.
Walsh covering up well under a barage of strikes.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Fuentes somehow managing to miss with a strike from the back.

Fuentes has the hooks in. Walsh is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted.
Walsh looking very determined here, making life difficult for Fuentes.
You can see the frustration on Walsh's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Walsh has his hands over his head blocking the strikes from Fuentes.
Fuentes lands punches and elbows.
Fuentes connects with a big shot to the side of Walsh's head.
Fuentes throwing strikes from the back - he gets a warning from the referee for striking the back of the head but all these shots are hurting Walsh!

Walsh tries to roll but Fuentes sticks to his back.
Walsh trying to control the action but Fuentes just sinks the hooks in.
Walsh might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Fuentes haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Walsh wants to control his opponent's hands but Fuentes gets his hands free.

Fuentes fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Walsh avoids it really well and circles away.

Walsh shoots in for a double leg but Fuentes sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Walsh is breathing heavily.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Walsh is trying to avoid his opponent's strikes and get into the clinch.
Fuentes tries for a takedown but Walsh sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Walsh looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.

Walsh looks to land a combination but Fuentes avoids it well.
Walsh is trying hard to land a takedown here. Fuentes sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Fuentes uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Walsh.

Fuentes stands up over Walsh, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

Fuentes is looking to work some ground and pound but Walsh has wrist control.
Walsh looking to hit a scissor sweep but Fuentes is one step ahead there.
Fuentes postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Walsh has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Fuentes is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Fuentes is trying to pull guard but Walsh turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.

Walsh misses with a hook from the clinch.
Walsh is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Fuentes pulls him back up using the underhooks.

Fuentes ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Fuentes no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Arther Walsh has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Kent Fuentes is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Walsh throws a big right hand that misses.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Fuentes, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
