The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Poller leaves Pikkarainen with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Pikkarainen misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Poller went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.
Pikkarainen connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Poller closes this distance looking for a takedown but Pikkarainen circles away.
Pikkarainen moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
Pikkarainen will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Jason Poller has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Pekka Pikkarainen.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Poller definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Poller gets caught by a big overhand right and goes down! Pikkarainen gets on top of him and starts throwing some serious punches until the ref intervenes and stops the fight!
