Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Raycon Figg (ranked 7306 p4p, 191 weight class) and Greg Towson (ranked 25118 p4p, 229 weight class). Greg Towson is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.

The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Shigeki Fujiwara and Yuuki Gou.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Towson dives in and grabs Figg's left leg, looking for a takedown. Figg pushes down on Towson's head and hops out.
Towson throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Figg's waist but Figg gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Towson off to one side.

Towson wants to clinch up but Figg keeps it at a distance.

Figg shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Towson is not content to let Figg control the position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Figg takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Figg seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Towson for as long as he can get away with.

Towson really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Figg. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Figg is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Towson to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Towson shrugs it off.

Figg is working for a guillotine from mount but Towson frees his head quite easily.

So, who will make the next big move? In this position it could be crucial.
