The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nucombe loads up on a big right hand but Push slips the punch.
Push finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Nucombe swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Push is trying hard to land a takedown here. Nucombe sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Nucombe misses with a lunging right hand

and Push counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Nucombe can't keep his opponent in guard - Push advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Nucombe is not content to let Push control the position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Push might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Nucombe haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Push is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Nucombe defends it well.

Push is thwarting Nucombe's attempts to control the position.
Nucombe knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Push on the ground.
Well, if Push is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

Push goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Nucombe is on top in guard.

Nucombe got a little sloppy there for a moment and Push has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Nucombe has managed to get both his arms back between Push's legs - danger averted.

Nucombe is sitting in close to Push's body. Push has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Nucombe is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Nucombe is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Push.
