Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Super Heavyweight (ranked 547 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kormack Omega (ranked 696 p4p, 0 weight class). Omega has chosen Bring the Pain - 2Pac as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Heavyweight ducks under a wild hook from Omega.

Heavyweight moves into the clinch successfully.
Omega goes for a takedown attempt but Heavyweight pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Omega misses with a straight left.
Omega scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!

Heavyweight darts in and clinches Omega up against the cage.
Omega drops down looking for an ankle pick but Heavyweight pulls his leg out and moves away.
Omega has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight.
Heavyweight lands a jab to Omega's midsection.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
A big left from Heavyweight misses.
Omega uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Heavyweight.
Omega tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
Omega gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Heavyweight throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

Heavyweight fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Heavyweight uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Omega.
A counter left hand to the body from Heavyweight misses its target.

Omega shoots in and bounces Heavyweight off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Omega trying to control the position from guard on top but Heavyweight is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Heavyweight looking to hit a scissor sweep but Omega is one step ahead there.
Heavyweight is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Omega throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Heavyweight seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Omega accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Heavyweight pulls Omega in to control the position.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Omega throws a poor cross that misses
and Heavyweight counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.

Oooooh!!! Heavyweight has knocked Omega down with a huge combo! Heavyweight steps away and waves a wobbly Omega back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

It looks like Kormack Omega has been cut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Heavyweight clinches.
A nice right hand lands inside from Heavyweight.
Omega has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Heavyweight is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Super Heavyweight has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kormack Omega.
Omega tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Heavyweight lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Omega.

Heavyweight is pressed up against the cage. Omega has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Heavyweight down to the mat. Heavyweight avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Heavyweight tries to work over Omega's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Omega drops down looking for an ankle pick but Heavyweight pulls his leg out and moves away.
Heavyweight throws a series of punches but Omega moves out of range.
Omega tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
Omega is trying hard to land a takedown here. Heavyweight sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Heavyweight wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch.

and Heavyweight counters with a crisp right hand that drops Omega! Heavyweight lets Omega back up to his feet, looking for a finish!

Heavyweight is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Omega.
Heavyweight moves in looking to clinch but Omega pushes him off.

Omega stuns Heavyweight with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Heavyweight missing with a left hand there. Omega was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Omega looks to throw the jab but Heavyweight is out of range.
Super Heavyweight seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Heavyweight scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.

Heavyweight drops Omega with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Omega looks back up at him and smiles so Heavyweight waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Omega is still on wobbly legs! Can Heavyweight finish him?
Heavyweight lunges in with a left hook that violently twists Omega head around and knocks him out cold! Heavyweight hops onto the cage and yells out at the top of his lungs - Yeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaah! They're showing the replay on the big screens now; that was nasty! I hope one of the photographers got a good shot of it.
