Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Paea Talanoa (ranked 6001 p4p, 564 weight class) and Jason Jefferies (ranked 24236 p4p, 0 weight class). Talanoa comes to the cage accompanied by Tonga. Jefferies has chosen King Of The Underdogs as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Jason Jefferies is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Jefferies looks to clinch
so Talanoa counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Jefferies should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Talanoa forces his way into half guard.
Jefferies actively working from the bottom here.
Talanoa is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Talanoa is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Talanoa seems to be looking for submissions.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Talanoa seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Jefferies does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Talanoa is looking to advance position but Jefferies won't allow it.

Talanoa is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Jefferies to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Jefferies shrugs it off.

Talanoa is working to isolate an arm here. It's a telegraphed submission attempt but he's gone for it anyway - and he's got it! Talanoa extends the arm and Jefferies is forced to tap!
