Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Marcelinho Lima (ranked 24533 p4p, 697 weight class) and Nicola Tarasso (ranked 8414 p4p, 653 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tarasso circles away from the clinch attempt.
Lima swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
It seemed like Tarasso was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Lima walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Tarasso moves into range and connects with a jab.
The crowd cheers as Tarasso lands an impressive looking overhand right. Lima doesn't seem phased though.
Lima fails in his attempt to clinch.
Lima is looking to clinch.
Lima looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Tarasso cracks Lima with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.

and Tarasso counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Lima tries for a takedown but Tarasso sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
It seemed like Tarasso was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.

Tarasso wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.

Lima takes a swing at Tarasso's ribcage but misses.
Lima shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Tarasso as he jumps to the side.
Marcelinho Lima seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Lima misses with a leg kick.

and Tarasso counters with a nice uppercut.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Marcelinho Lima. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Tarasso circles away from the clinch attempt
and Tarasso counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Tarasso leaves Lima with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Lima ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Tarasso moves away.

Tarasso slips under a jab from Lima.
Tarasso uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Lima has time to react.
Tarasso lands with a straight right. Lima didn't see that one coming.
Tarasso connects with a right hand. Lima shakes it off.
Lima looks to clinch

and Tarasso counters with a nice double leg into guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Lima looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Tarasso has picked Lima up and slammed him! Lima can't keep hold of the triangle and Tarasso manages to pass to side control!
Lima is looking for a sweep.
Lima gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
Lima manages to get to full guard.
Lima has a closed guard, preventing Tarasso from standing up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Lima had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Tarasso defends it easily.

Tarasso trying to stand up but can't free himself from Lima's guard.

Lima looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Tarasso is defending well. Lima quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Tarasso has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Lima celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
