Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Matti Vanhoillinen, Ben Zyskovitsi and Arvi Lind.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Steel throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Guy drops down looking for a counter takedown but Steel sprawls and moves away.
Guy fails in his attempt to clinch.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Guy is trying to get back to full guard.
Steel with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.

Guy shoots in looking for a takedown but Steel manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Guy's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Steel closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Steel perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Steel wants to control but Guy is keeping him busy.

Guy tries to roll over but Steel keeps him under control.

Steel throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Guy tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Steel is in Guy's guard.

Steel closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Guy explodes and escapes back to his feet! Nice escape there!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Steel closes the distance but Guy moves to the side
and Guy cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Guy rushes Steel and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Steel on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Guy misses with a knee strike.
Guy is looking to break free of the clinch but Steel has double underhooks.
Steel is trying to push Guy away but Guy has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Odell Guy dominated that second round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!


Steel tries to clinch up but Guy circles away and keeps his distance.

Steel jumps guard and drags Guy to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Guy is in close to Steel's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Guy postures up.
Steel utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Steel has control of Guy's left arm, preventing Guy from doing any damage.
Guy missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Guy throws an elbow that misses. Steel uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Guy's guard. Nice move by Steel!


Guy had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Steel defends it easily.
Steel looking to sit in guard and control but Guy gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Guy with a nice head shot there.
Guy in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Guy has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Steel has his feet on Guy's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.

Steel takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

letting Guy counter with a right hand.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Steel swats away the attempt to clinch by Guy.
Steel tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Steel darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Guy is looking to escape.

Guy avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Steel.

Steel decides to return to a standing position.
Guy misses with a takedown attempt - Steel sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Chris Steel comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Steel has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
