Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Robbie Perkins!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Biji Kiri!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Hirohito Nitta and Yuuki Gou.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Perkins closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Perkins drops back looking for a leg! Kiri is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Kiri manages to kick Perkins off! Perkins jumps back into Kiri's guard.

Perkins slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Kiri throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Perkins escapes and throws Kiri's legs to the side, diving into side control!
Robbie Perkins overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Kiri tries to bench press Perkins off him but Perkins keeps the position.

Kiri is trying to work for a sweep but Perkins has mounted him!
Kiri reaches up to try and control the position but Perkins seems to have an arm triangle now! Uh oh! Kiri rolls and tries to escape and now Perkins has his back!

Kiri takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Kiri is being controlled on the ground here - he must escape this position otherwise surely the end is near.

You can see the frustration on Kiri's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.
Kiri wants to get back to his feet.
