Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Uri Gellar (ranked 32 p4p, 0 weight class) and Don Petersen (ranked 315 p4p, 0 weight class). Uri Gellar has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 19 - 3 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Uri Gellar!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Don Petersen!
The judges for this bout are Bart Greer, David Hoff and Peter Branson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Petersen gets a double leg takedown into Gellar's guard.
Petersen trying to control but Gellar is working from the bottom.

Petersen is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Petersen throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Gellar works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Petersen sitting in guard here, content to control.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Gellar has Petersen pulled in close to control his posture.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Petersen slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Gellar works the jab nicely.
Petersen fails with a takedown attempt.
Gellar wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Petersen is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Petersen jabbing away but nothing is landing.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Gellar throws a push kick but Petersen slaps the foot to one side.
Petersen drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Gellar defends it well.
Gellar throws a lazy right hand but Petersen sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Gellar looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.
Gellar swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Gellar misses with a wild body shot.
Petersen misses with a takedown
and Gellar counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Petersen ducks under a wild hook from Gellar.
Petersen takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Petersen misses with a lunging right hand
and Gellar counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Petersen on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
A swing and a miss from Gellar.
Petersen slips under a jab from Gellar.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Gellar connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Petersen's hands.

Gellar cracks Petersen with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Gellar has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Petersen to stand back up!


Petersen is rocked!
Uri Gellar is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
A decent looking body kick lands there for Gellar.
Petersen is still on wobbly legs! Can Gellar finish him?
Gellar cracks a nice hook into Petersen's ribs.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Gellar swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Petersen.
A nice leg kick lands there from Gellar.
Gellar lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Petersen displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Gellar throws out the jab.
Petersen seems to have recovered his senses.
Gellar lands a glancing blow to the side of Petersen's head.
Gellar lands a body shot.
Petersen takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Gellar lands a jab.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Gellar steps in with a hook that catches Petersen right on the chin and knocks him to the floor! Gellar follows him down with more strikes and that's all she wrote! Petersen looks absolutely devastated.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:06 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Uri Gellar!
Uri Gellar decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
