Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Antonio Bryant !
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Tourney Guy!
The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Ian Loll and Dillan Fox.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Bryant drives through with a takedown into Guy's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
Guy utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Bryant wants to stand but Guy has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Bryant throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Guy works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Guy keeping moving, preventing Bryant from controlling successfully.
Guy wants to stand but Bryant is controlling the position.
Bryant looking to pass the guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Bryant trying to control the position from guard on top but Guy is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Bryant stops Guy from standing up.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Bryant shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Guy napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Guy is not content to let Bryant control the position.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Guy can do anything to dispel that myth.

Bryant is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Guy has escaped the position, nice work there.
Guy can't do much from the bottom here.
Guy is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Bryant has just dragged him back down to the mat.
Bryant wants to lay and pray for a moment but Guy keeps working.

Guy takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Guy tries to bench press Bryant off him but Bryant keeps the position.
Guy defending against the ground and pound.
Bryant trying to control the action but Guy is working from the bottom.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
A head kick by Bryant misses
and Guy counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Bryant feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Bryant postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.

Bryant wants to get up but he can't break Guy's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Bryant is breathing heavily.
Guy wants to stand and escape but Bryant is having none of it.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Bryant slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Bryant in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Guy is looking to stand up but Bryant isn't so interested in that idea.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Bryant lands a couple of decent looking shots.

Bryant manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Guy on his heels. He'll look to pass Guy's guard now, I'm sure.

Bryant wants to clinch but Guy slips to the side
and Guy counters with a straight punch to the midsection.

Bryant shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Guy napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Bryant works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.
Guy tries to escape but Bryant is in control.

Bryant wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Guy, who protects the arm well.
Bryant prevents Guy from escaping the position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Bryant tries to stand but Guy is controlling his head.

Guy is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Bryant has just dragged him back down to the mat.

It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Bryant here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man.
Guy is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Guy enables Bryant to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Guy manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Guy is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Bryant is controlling him well.

Bryant is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Guy knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Bryant is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Guy can do to turn this around?

Bryant is looking to take a break and control but Guy is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Guy really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Bryant . If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Bryant thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Bryant keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Guy's head.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Bryant working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Guy has his hands on Bryant 's head, controlling the position.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Bryant wanted to stand there but Guy had control of the position.

Bryant stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Guy swivels though and keeps the full guard.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Bryant landing some decent shots from guard.
Bryant wants to control from the top but Guy keeps moving.

and Guy counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Bryant , winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
