Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ronnie Hepple (ranked 372 p4p, 56 weight class) and Royce Gracie (ranked 773 p4p, 104 weight class). Gracie comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Jiu Jitsu by Smoke Serpent kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the welterweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Ronnie Hepple!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
13 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Royce Gracie!
The judges for this bout are Tatsuya Matsuyama, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Ren Mimura.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gracie gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
letting Hepple counter with a right hand.
Hepple throws a hook but Gracie avoids it easily.
Gracie is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.
Gracie changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Hepple tries to avoid it but Gracie manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Hepple to the ground. Hepple escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Hepple throws a shot from downtown. Gracie moves away and avoids it.
Hepple just misses with a punch to the body.
Hepple darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Gracie uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Hepple.
Hepple swings and misses with a hook to the body.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Hepple throws out a powerful jab.
Gracie ducks right into an uppercut from Hepple.
Hepple digs a good body shot into Gracie's ribs.
Hepple throws a big shot that misses.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Gracie dives in for a single leg takedown but Hepple sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Hepple swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Ronnie Hepple has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Royce Gracie.
Hepple misses with a straight right.
Gracie slips a jab from Hepple.
Gracie feints the counter takedown.
Gracie closes the distance but Hepple moves to the side
enabling Hepple to counter with a crisp jab.
Gracie is rocked!
Gracie glances at the clock... BAM! Hepple nails him with a big right hand! A momentary lapse in concentration sends Gracie crashing to the mat! The referee steps in and this one is over! Damn, Gracie is out of it, he thinks the ref is his opponent!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:34 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Ronnie Hepple!
