Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Rokurou Kyo (ranked 981 p4p, 135 weight class) and Frank Lamphard (ranked 3250 p4p, 376 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kyo throws a poor cross that misses
and Lamphard counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
An inside leg kick from Lamphard misses.
Kyo slips under a jab.
Kyo moves out of range as Lamphard strikes.
Lamphard showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Kyo.
Lamphard misses with a hook. Kyo ducked under it nicely.
Lamphard connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Kyo throws a right hand that misses
and Lamphard counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Kyo misses with a looping left.
Lamphard connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Lamphard takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Lamphard jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Lamphard pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Kyo clobbers Lamphard with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Kyo has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Death Valley Training Facility in the buildup to the fight.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
A slow jab from Kyo misses its intended target.
Kyo swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Lamphard lands the left hand.
Kyo swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Kyo cracks Lamphard with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Lamphard defending well as Kyo loads up on a big left hand.

Lamphard takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Kyo dips to his left and cracks Lamphard with an uppercut!
Danga de danga de dang - Kyo scores with a four punch combination!

Lamphard is rocked!
Kyo throws a shot from downtown. Lamphard moves away and avoids it.
Lamphard tries to counter with a clinch but Kyo shakes him off and moves away.
Kyo throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Kyo ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Lamphard looks to land a body kick but Kyo moved away.
Lamphard moves out of range of the strikes.
Rokurou Kyo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A big right from Kyo misses.
Kyo misses with an uppercut.

Kyo drops Lamphard with a beautiful combination! Lamphard stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Kyo is looking for the KO!
Lamphard is still on wobbly legs! Can Kyo finish him?
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Kyo jabbing away but nothing is landing.
A left lands for Lamphard.
The fighters circle momentarily. Kyo darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Lamphard tries to land a front kick but Kyo steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Kyo tests Lamphard's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Kyo is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.
Lamphard lands with an overhand left.

Kyo is rocked!
Kyo leaves his chin hanging out and Lamphard seizes the opportunity with an uppercut! Kyo crumbles to the floor in a heap, and the referee steps in and tends to the downed fighter! What a knockout!
