Coming up we have a bantamweight kickboxing rules bout between Joseph Babidi (ranked 17771 p4p, 347 weight class) and Keith Stone (ranked 21567 p4p, 321 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 2 - 1, fighting out of Tokyo, Joseph Babidi!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Keith Stone!
The judges for this bout are Yuuki Gou, Shigeki Fujiwara and Yukihiro Yamamoto.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stone swings widly with a right hand
and Babidi cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
We've been informed that Stone has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.

A nice side step and Stone releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.

With the fighters up against the ropes, Babidi throws an elbow but misses.
Stone lands with a short head shot on the inside.
Babidi creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Stone's defenses.
With the fighters clinched against the ropes, Babidi creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

Stone breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Babidi gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Babidi throws a body shot but no joy.

It looked like Babidi wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.

That was a close second round but I would say that Joseph Babidi will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

I would just about give that final round to Keith Stone.
Well Babidi has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
