Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kazushi Aoki (ranked 1972 p4p, 224 weight class) and Yoel Matienzo (ranked 8238 p4p, 648 weight class). The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Matienzo looks to score with a jab to the body but Aoki is just out of range.
Aoki attempts a counter takedown but Matienzo avoids it well and moves away.

Matienzo walks straight into a right hand from Aoki - that's dropped him! Aoki jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Matienzo from any more punishment! Matienzo complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.
