Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Marky Mark (ranked 2169 p4p, 280 weight class) and Mr Skull (ranked 8244 p4p, 664 weight class). Mr Skull has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Marky Mark!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mr Skull!
The judges for this bout are Dean Styles, Eddie Farnsworth and Chad Campbell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mark dips to his left and cracks Skull with an uppercut!
Skull takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Mark lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.


It looks like Mr Skull has been cut.
Skull looks for the body kick but Mark saw that one coming.
Skull dodges the punch combination from Mark.
Skull has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Mark swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Skull.
Mark's jab looks to have found its range, popping Skull under the eye.
Mark lands with a nice combination. Skull backs away looking to recover.
Mark with a body punch. A glancing blow.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Skull on the wrong end of a nice hook.
Mark takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.
Marky Mark seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Skull finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
An attempted straight right counter from Mark misses the target.
Skull throws a head kick but Mark moves out of range.

Skull gets a clinch.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Skull keeps control of Mark as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Skull fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Mark is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.
Skull tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Mark just stands there and leans against the cage.
A short right hand to the side of the head by Mark.
Mark is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
Mark really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Mark tries to throw a body punch but Skull avoids it by throwing Mark back against the cage.

Skull gets control of Mark's arms and successfully pulls guard. Skull will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

Skull has his foot on Mark's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Mark works his way back into a safe position though.

Skull is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Skull had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Mark defends it easily.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Mark has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Skull is looking for a triangle but Mark pushes his legs off easily.
Mark pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Skull is keeping the position for now.
Mark content to stall in guard here.

Skull working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Mark doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Mark manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Mark takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Mark in particular looking to stall.

Skull is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Mark pulls his head out easily.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Marky Mark dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Mr Skull's cut.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!


Mark with a hook.
A right-left combo lands from Mark.
Mark misses with a jab, cross combination.
Skull wants to counter with a clinch but Mark pushes him away.
Mark avoids a low kick by using good footwork.
Skull throws a wild body kick that Mark sees coming a mile off.
Skull is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Mark.
Mark fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Mark seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
Skull moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Nice jab there from Mark.
Marky Mark is winning the standup battle so far.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Mark connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Skull motions for Mark to come forward. Skull throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
A punch lands to the side of Skull 's head but he takes it in his stride.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Mark connects with a looping right hand.


Skull is rocked!
Skull doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Skull is still on wobbly legs! Can Mark finish him?
Mark lands a jab and follows it up with a massive straight that knocks Skull out cold! Skull is crumpled in the corner, his head only propped up by the cage! That's one for the organiziational promos right there! Wow, what a finish!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:15 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Marky Mark!
Marky Mark decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
The defeated Mr Skull had this to say: 'Merry Christmas mother fucks!'.
