Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Sydney Vang (ranked 24377 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tony The Tuba (ranked 5968 p4p, 0 weight class). Tony The Tuba has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Sydney Vang's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Sydney Vang!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Tony The Tuba !
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Alan Glass and George Francis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The Tuba throws a series of punches but Vang avoids them all with ease.

The Tuba throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Vang was covering up waiting for the punch and The Tuba finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Vang is looking for a triangle but The Tuba pushes his legs off easily.
Vang lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Vang is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
Vang is working The Tuba over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Vang throws a strike but The Tuba rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

The Tuba manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Vang on his heels. He'll look to pass Vang's guard now, I'm sure.

Vang is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Vang wants to work for an arm triangle but The Tuba is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Vang is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
The Tuba wants to control the action here but instead Vang manages to pass to full mount!

Vang wants to finish this one by submission but The Tuba is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Vang.
The Tuba is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Vang is landing with some decent strikes but The Tuba is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.

Vang is going oldschool here, as he tries to force The Tuba to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so The Tuba shrugs it off.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The Tuba really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Vang. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Vang wants to finish this one by submission but The Tuba is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Vang.

The Tuba gets a double leg takedown into Vang's guard.
Vang bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in The Tuba 's guard.

The Tuba isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Vang stacks The Tuba on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Vang!

Vang tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Vang has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Vang is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. The Tuba knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Vang wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by The Tuba , who protects the arm well.

Vang is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but The Tuba is surviving well by controlling Vang's body position as best he can.

Vang keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of The Tuba 's head.
Vang lands a couple of elbows.

Vang drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and The Tuba dives on top into guard.

Vang really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Vang has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

As The Tuba looks to move away, Vang throws a big counter combo but The Tuba just gets out of the way.

The Tuba looks to land a combination but Vang avoids it well.
Vang looks to score with a jab to the body but The Tuba is just out of range.

The Tuba fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Vang sprawls well initially but The Tuba persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Vang kicks The Tuba off and gets back to his feet.
Sydney Vang is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Both fighters working to control the clinch.
Vang lands a body shot.

The Tuba is fighting off a takedown attempt but Vang is just too persistent for him and manages to trip The Tuba to the mat. The Tuba regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Sydney Vang showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Vang, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
