Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Max Fawce (ranked 2613 p4p, 265 weight class) and Junior Iron (ranked 2734 p4p, 274 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Iron uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Fawce has time to react.

Fawce throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Iron tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Fawce is in Iron's guard.

Fawce wants to pass the guard but Iron is keeping the position.
Fawce wants to control from the top but Iron keeps moving.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Iron seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Fawce tries to free his leg and advance position but Iron is retaining full guard.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Fawce's jab looks to have found its range, popping Iron under the eye.
Fawce throws a hook but Iron blocks it.
Iron appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body.
Fawce has been working on his boxing with his coaches at AREA 51 in the buildup to the fight.

Fawce tries to keep at a distance but Iron has taken the fight into the clinch.

With the fighters up against the cage, Fawce throws an elbow but misses.
Iron lands an elbow just above Fawce 's eye.

It looks like Max Fawce has been cut.
A head punch blocked on the inside by Iron.

Fawce jumps guard but Iron turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Iron throws an elbow but it misses.

Iron fakes a right and follows up with a big left that drops Fawce to one knee - oooooh, he's wobbly! Fawce looks to clinch but Iron throws him off and pummels him into the canvas! Fawce taps out under the strikes! The fight is over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:11 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Strikes). Junior Iron!
Junior Iron opened up his post fight interview with a scream to camera that he wants a title shot! Whether he deserves the shot will be up to the management of the organization, so I guess he'll have to wait and see.
