Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Taiga Jim (ranked 192 p4p, 28 weight class) and Vito Mazzini (ranked 532 p4p, 72 weight class). Mazzini has chosen Fade To Black as his entrance music. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, Phil Schofield and Steven Brown.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mazzini jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Mazzini misses with a body shot.
Mazzini misses with a hook. Jim ducked under it nicely.
Jim loads up on a big right hand but Mazzini slips the punch.
We've been hearing reports that Jim has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
Jim scores with a body shot.
Jim uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Mazzini.
Jim is looking to counter with a shot to the body.
Jim lands a nice looking body shot.
Jim misses with a wild body shot.
Mazzini now looks to counter with a shot at the body.

Jim was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit.
Mazzini connects with a crisp jab.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

and Jim counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Mazzini feints and then cracks Jim's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Jim down.
Mazzini has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.

Mazzini throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Mazzini will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Mazzini bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
A little jabbing left from Mazzini on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.

and Jim counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Mazzini is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Jim rather than just go for the knockout.
Mazzini wants to clinch but Jim slips to the side
and Jim counters with a straight right hand.
Mazzini is rocked!
Mazzini shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Jim as he avoids it easily.
Jim moves out of range of the strikes.
Jim sends Mazzini crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Jim is motioning to the referee to let Mazzini up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!
Mazzini is still on wobbly legs! Can Jim finish him?

and Jim counters with a massive hook, right on the button! He's out cold! Damn, that was naaaaaasty! Hopefully he'll be OK.
