Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Bonerz McGee (ranked 128 p4p, 26 weight class) and Pekko Wannanen (ranked 1125 p4p, 130 weight class). This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 17 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Bonerz McGee!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 6 - 0, fighting out of New York, Pekko Wannanen!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, Sam Margolis and James Atkins.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wannanen fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
McGee looks to land a left hand but Wannanen moved out of range nicely.
McGee checks the leg kick.
McGee drops down looking for a counter takedown but Wannanen sprawls and moves away.
Wannanen has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
McGee fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Wannanen has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Nice uppercut lands for McGee. That snapped Wannanen's head back.
McGee tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Wannanen is able to avoid easily.
Wannanen connects with a good right hand that stumbles McGee. McGee circles away out of range and recomposes himself.

We've been hearing that McGee has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish.

McGee jinks towards his opponent looking like he wants to counter with a mid kick but doesn't commit.

McGee cracks Wannanen with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

McGee closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Wannanen's guard.

Wannanen chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before McGee can pounce on him.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Bonerz McGee.
