The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Andrade slaps away a takedown attempt from Murid, before circling back to the center of the mat.

Murid closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Murid seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Andrade for as long as he can get away with.

Murid is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Andrade is just riding it out for now. Murid eventually gives up the hold.

Andrade stuffs the takedown.
Marcelo Andrade seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Andrade, as that shot connected.
Murid takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
It's a brutal combination of punches from Andrade! Murid is backing up but he can't get away as Andrade lands with one final shot to the jaw that drops Murid and ends the fight. Great knockout.

After the fight, Marcelo Andrade was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
