Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rocha is looking to clinch but Maloney is avoiding it.

Maloney darts in and clinches Rocha up against the cage.
Maloney manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
Maloney drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Maloney lands on the inside with an uppercut.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Rocha is pressed up against the cage. Maloney has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Rocha down to the mat. Rocha avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Maloney throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

It looks like Roberto Rocha has been cut.

Maloney tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Roberto Rocha has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jordan Maloney.

Maloney turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!

Rocha pushes Maloney away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Maloney gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

Rocha tries to clinch but Maloney is having none of it.

Rocha is defending well against a takedown attempt.
Maloney tries to pull guard but Rocha holds him up against the cage and eventually Maloney drops back down to his feet.
Maloney has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Rocha avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Maloney jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Rocha walks away with a smile on his face. Maloney gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Rocha rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Maloney moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Rocha tries to close the distance and clinch but Maloney swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Rocha breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky.

Maloney has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Rocha uses from the top position.
