The judges for this bout are Alexandre Firmino, Edson Gomes and Emerson Jorge.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Tomas has taken the fight to the clinch.
Bitetti misses with the head strike.
Bitetti blocks an elbow strike.
Bitetti fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Bitetti can't find room to land a body shot as Tomas controls the action.
Bitetti misses with the head strike.
Bitetti jumps guard but Tomas stands there with Bitetti around his waist. Bitetti gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Bitetti jumps guard and drags Tomas to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

Tomas decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Sanderlei Bitetti seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Bitetti shoots in looking for a takedown. Tomas tries to sprawl out of it but Bitetti keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Tomas manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Tomas wants to counter the offense by Bitetti and move into the clinch position.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Sanderlei Bitetti. That's going to take a lot out of him.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Tomas throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
A jab lands there for Bitetti.
Bitetti throws a good cross that connects.
Bitetti wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.

Tomas closes the distance and clinches.
Bitetti tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Tomas just stands there and leans against the cage.

Tomas is trying to trip Bitetti. He has hold of a leg but Bitetti is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Tomas persists though and gets the takedown into guard.

Bitetti is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Tomas has his hands clasped together but Bitetti extends and breaks Tomas's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Bitetti.
