The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bogard scores with a head kick.

It looks like Jon Ubereem has been cut.
Ubereem shoots and misses
and Bogard connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Bogard throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Bogard misses with the combination.
Bogard with a body punch. A glancing blow.
Bogard connects with a solid leg kick.

Ubereem manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Bogard on his heels. He'll look to pass Bogard's guard now, I'm sure.

Ubereem drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Ubereem jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Bogard knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Ubereem on the ground.
Ubereem won't allow Bogard to sweep him here.

Bogard on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Bogard tries to get out of the position.

Ubereem is looking for a kimura but Bogard is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Ubereem to get the leverage.
Bogard might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Bogard is trying to escape the mount.
Bogard is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

Ubereem looking to secure an arm triangle but Bogard defends it well.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Ubereem has control of Bogard's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Bogard regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Ubereem trying to control but he's not successful this time.

Bogard defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Ubereem.
We've been hearing good reports from Bogard's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.
Bogard is controlling an arm, preventing Ubereem from taking his back. Although keeping him in mount is no better to be honest.
