PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kurt Wagner (ranked 8192 p4p, 651 weight class) and Paily Vattakkuzhi (ranked 25265 p4p, 754 weight class). Wagner comes to the cage accompanied by No Easy Way Out. Paily Vattakkuzhi is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wagner doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Vattakkuzhi cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Vattakkuzhi displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Wagner.
Wagner blocks a jab.
Wagner feinted with a counter takedown.
Wagner closes the distance and clinches up with Vattakkuzhi, looking for a takedown. Wagner pushes Vattakkuzhi against the cage but Vattakkuzhi circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kurt Wagner. That's going to take a lot out of him.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Vattakkuzhi looks to score with a jab to the body but Wagner is just out of range.
Wagner appeared to be looking to counter that last move with a leg kick.
Vattakkuzhi misses with a looping right.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.

Wagner has hold of Vattakkuzhi's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Vattakkuzhi tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Wagner cranks the arm and Vattakkuzhi screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Vattakkuzhi, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
