Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Tony Garcia (ranked 2144 p4p, 218 weight class) and Segey Taranin (ranked 3283 p4p, 296 weight class). Garcia comes to the cage accompanied by Future–Last Breath. Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 12 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Tony Garcia!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 6 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Segey Taranin!
The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Shigeki Sano.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Garcia slaps away a takedown attempt from Taranin, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Garcia misses with a double jab.
Taranin tries to score a power double leg takedown but Garcia sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Taranin somewhat.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Taranin feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

That was a close round but I would say that Tony Garcia will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Garcia tries to kick Taranin off but Taranin keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Taranin is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.

Taranin is figuring out what he wants to do next.
In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Taranin working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though.
Garcia regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Taranin.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Garcia is looking to stand up but Taranin isn't so interested in that idea.

Tony Garcia is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Taranin lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Taranin changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Garcia looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Garcia sneaks out the side door and pushes Taranin away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape.

A close second round but Segey Taranin will probably get the nod - 10:9.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

I would just about give that final round to Segey Taranin.
I think Taranin has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

A very excited looking Segey Taranin rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
