Qasi's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, For Whom The Bell Tolls. McCarthy has chosen Chamillionaire - Ridin' ft. Krayzie Bone as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McCarthy looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Qasi is fending him off so far but McCarthy persists. Nope, Qasi circles away and we're back to standing.
Qasi works the jab nicely.
McCarthy takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
McCarthy shoots for a takedown but Qasi saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Qasi cracks McCarthy with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Qasi scores with a nice strike.
Qasi displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from McCarthy.
Azar Qasi has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of David McCarthy.
McCarthy takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
McCarthy misses with a takedown
enabling Qasi to counter with a crisp jab.
McCarthy dives in for a single leg takedown but Qasi sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Qasi lands a big head kick that sends McCarthy tumbling to the mat! Qasi takes a step backwards and waves McCarthy back to his feet - he wants the finish!

McCarthy takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
McCarthy is still on wobbly legs! Can Qasi finish him?
McCarthy shoots in and drives through. Qasi sprawls well.
It looked like Qasi wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Qasi circles and sees the opportunity to plant his feet and throw a really nice straight left hand that drops McCarthy to the canvas! McCarthy doesn't know where he is but he's trying to survive - Qasi keeps piling on the pressure and forces the referee to step in! This one is aaaaaall over!
