Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Jarrod Lynn (ranked 8959 p4p, 0 weight class) and Delon Wigginton (ranked 6195 p4p, 0 weight class). Delon Wigginton will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wigginton swats away the attempt to clinch by Lynn.
Wigginton fails to land with a series of punches.
Wigginton misses with a head kick.
Wigginton throws an ugly left hook that misses

and Lynn counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.

Lynn is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Wigginton sees it coming and defends easily.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Well, if Lynn is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Lynn stops Wigginton from getting back to his feet.

Lynn is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Wigginton defends it well.

Lynn decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

and Lynn counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Wigginton!

Lynn wants to lay and pray for a moment but Wigginton keeps working.

Wigginton is looking to get back to his feet here but Lynn is keeping cool and he's managed to take Wigginton's back.

Lynn has his opponent's back but Wigginton is looking to stand. He manages to get to his feet and shakes off Lynn.
Wigginton misses with a few strikes there.
Lynn tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Wigginton manages to circle out of the way.

and Lynn moves into the clinch.

Wigginton's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Lynn really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
A combination from Wigginton does no damage.
Lynn changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Wigginton tries to avoid it but Lynn manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Wigginton to the ground. Wigginton escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Wigginton tries to bum rush Lynn with a series of wild strikes but Lynn uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

and Lynn counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.

Lynn throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Wigginton tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Lynn is in Wigginton's guard.

Wigginton uses the cage to get back to his feet.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Lynn shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Wigginton as he jumps to the side.
Wigginton unleashes a big counter combination but Lynn bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.

Wigginton throws a series of punches but Lynn avoids them all with ease.
It looked like Lynn wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Wigginton tries to clinch up
and Lynn counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Wigginton throws a right hand that Lynn ducks under and follows up with a left that Lynn also avoids with ease.
A quick step to the side and Lynn tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.

Lynn wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch.

Wigginton has had enough of the clinch but Lynn keeps him there for the moment.

Lynn jumps guard and drags Wigginton to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Lynn lands some strikes from the bottom.

Lynn has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Lynn wants to sweep here but Wigginton controlling him for the moment.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Lynn is on top in guard.

Lynn closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Wigginton quickly recovers to half guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Lynn is working for a kimura but Wigginton is defending it quite comfortably.

Lynn is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Wigginton is just riding it out for now. Lynn eventually gives up the hold.

A close round but Delon Wigginton will probably get the nod.

Lynn shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Lynn was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Lynn is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Wigginton looks calm but he's in trouble here. Lynn gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Wigginton is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Lynn lets go of the hold and Wigginton can pop his arm back in it's socket.
