Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Stevie Franchise (ranked 4798 p4p, 470 weight class) and Techno Viking (ranked 4410 p4p, 446 weight class). Franchise's entrance music is Microphone Fiend- Rage Against the Machine. A fine choice. Viking has chosen Techno Viking as his entrance music. Stevie Franchise has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 12 - 0, fighting out of New York, Stevie Franchise!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Techno Viking!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Chris Downing and Alan Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A big left from Viking misses.
It looked like Franchise wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Franchise lands a slapping body shot.
Franchise bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Viking's head.
Franchise will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Viking misses with a looping right.
Franchise connects with a single shot there.
A swing and a miss from Franchise.
Franchise misses with an uppercut. Viking saw that one coming.
Viking uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Franchise.
Franchise tries to bum rush Viking with a series of wild strikes but Viking uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Viking lands a slapping body shot.
Viking pushing out the jab but it's not landing.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Franchise is trying to break the clinch but Viking has him pressed against the cage.

Viking is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Franchise feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Vikings jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
A punch lands to the side of Viking 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Viking works the jab nicely.
The crowd cheers as Viking lands an impressive looking overhand right. Franchise doesn't seem phased though.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Viking keeps control of Franchise as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.

Viking makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.
Franchise lands with a short punch from the clinch.
Viking throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Franchises head.

Franchise takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.

Viking throws a right hand that Franchise ducks under and follows up with a left that Franchise also avoids with ease.

Franchise moves away from the strike by Viking.
Franchise walks into a straight right hand from Viking.

Viking moves into the clinch successfully.
Franchise is trying to maintain a safe position but Viking gets an underhook and turns Franchise into the cage.
Franchise is trying to break free.
Franchise wants to break the clinch but can't.
Viking digs a right hand underneath Franchise's ribcage. Franchise let out a lung full of air as it connected.

Franchise pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Viking paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Franchise throws the left hand but Viking avoids the punch easily.
Franchise thows a left - swing and a miss!
Viking scores with a nice right hand.
Franchise dodges the punch combination from Viking.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Franchise throws a jab but it's blocked by Viking.

Viking pushes Franchise up against the cage in a clinch.
Franchise has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Techno Viking dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Viking bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Franchise's head backwards.
Franchise is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.
Viking wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.

enabling Franchise to counter with a crisp jab.
Viking has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Viking ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Franchise moves away.
Viking listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut.
Franchise misses with an uppercut. Viking saw that one coming.
Franchise uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Viking.
Franchise looks to land a left hand but Viking moved out of range nicely.
Viking works over Franchise's head and body with a nice combination.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Franchise misses with a wild body shot.
No joy there for Franchise, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Viking's corner calls for a 1-2. Viking obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Viking closes the distance and lands a one-two.


Franchise is rocked!

Oh Franchise is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Franchise lands with a nice body punch.

Oooooh!!! Franchise has knocked Viking down with a huge combo! Franchise steps away and waves a wobbly Viking back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

Franchise attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.
Viking is still on wobbly legs! Can Franchise finish him?
Franchise throws a predictable looking body shot
and Viking counters with a straight right hand.
Viking walks straight into a right hand from Franchise - that's dropped him! Franchise jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Viking from any more punishment! Viking complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:58 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Stevie Franchise!
Stevie Franchise really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that Voodoo Nutrition logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.
